P90x For Weight Loss – It Works!

I used to be pretty fit during high school, but then college came. Like many, I gained weight during college, and I got off track. I woke up late so I only ate two meals a day. My poor eating habits, terrible late night snacks and lack of exercise and I started packing on the weight.

My poor eating habits, terrible late night snacks and lack of exercise and I started packing on the weight.

Over the period of around 5 years I slowly put on weight. By the time I wanted to make a difference in my health, I had gained an extra of around 25 lbs. I knew that if I didn’t change something I was just going to keep putting on the weight. I wanted to get back on the right path so I started looking for a good exercise program to follow that I could do at home.

While being a vegetable on the couch I was browsing through the channels when an infomercial caught my eye. I sometimes watch infomercials when I’m bored because I find some of them pretty ridiculous. This one, however, was sucking me in. It was an infomercial for P90x, and the longer I watched it, the more I was interested. I got on the Internet and did some research and after finding a lot of rave reviews, I went ahead and bought it.

I was so excited after buying it that I looked at reviews and success stories while I was waiting for it to come in the mail. I was ready for change and I couldn’t wait to get started. I liked the idea that it was a complete program with a nutrition guide that told me what to eat, and a solid 90 day workout routine. It was everything I needed in one package.

Right when the package arrived I went through everything, read the nutrition guide, the fitness guide, and watched the “How to Bring It” DVD. I did the fit test that was in the fitness guide and passed, so the next day I got started with the first workout.

During the first weeks of the program I pushed myself so hard that I couldn’t extend my arms all the way without pain because my arms were so stiff and sore. I had to back off a little until my arms fully recovered. The first couple of weeks of the workout were really hard. I was extremely sore throughout that period.

The Ab Ripper X workout, and the Yoga workout were the hardest ones for me. I struggled being able to go all the way through Ab Ripper X until day 40 of the program when I was able to do all of the exercises completely. Pretty soon I found myself at the end of the 90 days feeling great, and 11 lbs lighter. I worked hard for those 11 lbs and I was extremely happy with my results!

I, like so many others, lost weight and got fit doing the P90x program. All you need is to buy it, get a P90x pull up bar (or any other kind of pull up bar), and dumbbells or resistance bands, such as the B-Lines resistance bands, and you can achieve awesome results too!
