Finally getting around to answer some of the most asked questions I get about my 100 lb weight loss. Please keep in mind that I am not a Doctor or a Nutritionist and am only answering these questions from my point of view and from what I experienced in my journey. These recommendations worked for me but may not work for everyone. I have never suffered from any sort of eating disorder so my perspective might be different from someone who has and I do not ever want to promote something to someone who this will affect in a negative way. Always do what is best for YOU emotionally, mentally and physically. Getting healthy should be something that is celebrated and enjoyable…if it’s not that for you, stop what you’re doing and consult a doctor about how you are feeling. It’s never okay to result to unhealthy measures or to feel you aren’t good enough in your current state.
I hope my video is helpful in answering some questions about my journey. Be easy on yourself, love yourself and do the best you can. This journey is not easy or short, but it is possible and SO rewarding if done properly!
Head to my Instagram (@cristinadown100) for more on my journey and daily motivation. Don’t forget to subscribe as i’ll be uploading new content weekly (exercises, FAQ, more meals, life, etc).
Thank you guys for being so supportive always. I’m always amazed by the love you all send my way and I am BLESSED to be a part of this community. Love you guys!
In case all your attempts to get the perfect body fail, it’s not a reason to give up completely on your weight-loss goals. Check if you’re guilty of the following habits that will sabotage any diet and exercise plan.
Diets are just temporary measures you take to lose some extra weight, so you shouldn’t rely fully on them. Give yourself some time to get used to one new healthy habit at a time, and then keep going.
According to the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, a good night’s rest helps you cut down on fats, carbs, and sugars. Lack of sleep, on the contrary, makes you eat way more than usual. Experts recommend taking small bites, chewing your food thoroughly, and practicing mindful eating. It means fully concentrating on your food, savoring its smell, taste, and even texture.
Desserts won’t hurt your weight loss plan at all, so anyone with a sweet tooth can now rejoice! Of course, moderation is key here, but if you stick to a “nothing-allowed” diet, you’re actually more prone to overeating.
A food diary will be your greatest ally on the road to weight loss. If all that writing sounds too tedious for you, you can simply take pictures to see exactly what you’ve been putting in your body.
You’re convinced that going on a diet will help you lose weight. 0:41
You’re into dressings and sauces. 1:35
You punish yourself for eating “prohibited” foods. 2:25
You’re afraid of being hungry. 3:22
You stick to juices and smoothies. 4:15
You underestimate the power of sleep. 5:06
You eat fast. 5:47
You go grocery shopping on an empty stomach. 6:30
You give up desserts completely. 7:22
You think fats are the enemy. 8:02
You rely too much on exercise. 8:45
You don’t keep a food diary. 9:28
You strive for perfection. 10:12
-The only way to lose and keep off unwanted pounds is to change your lifestyle. Make it a habit to always have breakfast, move more, and choose the right restaurants.
-Dipping veggies into a sauce, even a healthy one, can significantly ruin your diet. Add those calories to your food diary and don’t forget to count them in your daily allotted intake.
-If you punish yourself every time you eat something “wrong”, you risk falling into a habit of eating in response to your failure and gaining all the weight back.
-Being hungry stimulates cell renewal, improves digestion, and even regulates your blood sugar. Plus, when you’re hungry, your body produces ghrelin, a hormone that stimulates your memory and helps fight depression.
-An orange will, in fact, satisfy your hunger longer than a glass of juice will. As for healthy smoothies, one glass actually contains anywhere from 150 to 300 calories.
-If you want to shed excess weight, you’d better take an 8-hour journey to dreamland each night.
-If you eat faster than you should, you take in more calories than you need before you ...Read More

Welcome to Calisthenic Movement. My epithet is Alex. And in this video, I evidence you 10 basic strength practises. Let’s start with the first exercise, the Scapular Raise or Scapular Raise Hold. This exercise focuses on your back. It appears easy on the first position, but were difficult if you perform it correctly. You hang on a table, let your arms directly and draw your shoulder blades down and together. With military exercises, you activate your lats, trapezius and many other muscles in the back. This exercise is very helpful for your straight limb pluck strength. The next exercise is the Push Up Hollow Body Hold. Push your straight arms powerful towards the field and make a hollow mas position. With that you activate your pushing and core muscles, which include the delts, chest, serratus anterior and your abs. This exercise is helpful for your straight limb pushing strength. The next exercise is a Dip Forward Lean Support Hold.
Again you push yourself up to let your mas move slightly out of the vertical position. The more you elevate your mas out of the vertical position, the harder this film get. This exercise is good to civilize the shoulders, lats, and trapezius, and will also help you to develop straight limb strength. Let’s move on with the Reverse Plank Bridge or Crab Hold. Support yourself with your arms and elevate your pelvis until your mas is in horizontal boundary. Now you activate the backside of your shoulders, trapezius and the whole posterior chain, which includes the erector spinae, the hamstrings, and glutes. The next both activity are the Handstand Walk and the Hold on the Wall. The tread instructs your pushing muscles like shoulders, chest, and triceps in the first place, and also requirement reinforcement of your core muscles to stabilize the body. The Hold On the Wall instructs your trapezius and shoulders. In the same day you mobilize your shoulder joints when you place your wrists (?) very near to the wall. These practises could be (?) the basic strength and mobility for the straight handstand. Let’s go on with the Bear Crawl or Gecko Walk.
Start gradually and always move one limb and the opposite leg forward at the same day. This exercise instructs your whole anterior chain which include abs, delts, chest, hip flexor, and the quadruplets. In addition to that, you get a coordinative civilize. The next exercise is the Arch Hold. Lift your arms and draw your chin to your chest. Avoid to look forward and over-stretch your cervix. Lift a bit of your upper-body as well as your legs. This exercise is perfect to civilize your posterior chain. It instructs your trapezius, erector spinae, the hamstrings and glutes. The exercise to civilize the opposite muscles is the Hollow Body Hold. Here you also draw your chin to the chest and keep your thought in a neutral position. Lift the shoulder blades and legs off the field. This exercise is a very ...Read More
My name is Jeremy Allen and I’m a certified personal trainer. Earlier in my life, I enjoyed a high powered career as a professional football player. During that time, I rubbed shoulders with some very talented fitness coaches who, seeing my interest, revealed some amazing insider secrets, and ignited a passion in me to become a personal trainer and help other folks achieve their dream bodies. On retiring from professional football, I did just that. And, I slowly perfected my powerful weight loss system, The J Plan, which now works in spectacular fashion.
Usually what happens is people start off well enough and lose a certain amount of weight … and then they grind to a halt – unable to shed another ounce. You might have experienced this yourself. That simply DOES NOT happen with the J Plan and here’s why: I’ve built frequent changes into The J Plan’s routines. Not only does it eliminate boredom for you, it also works like gangbusters to encourage your metabolism to constantly perform at peak efficiency, which absolutely maximizes your fat loss. That way you gain an unstoppable momentum and never reach a plateau where you simply cannot make any further progress (which is exactly where most weight loss programs fail). Read more…
With 2014 well on it’s way now, New Year’s Resolutions are in jeopardy. The commonest resolution is “I am going to lose weight & get fit”. In my 22 years in general practice I have used many different techniques to help patients lose weight & I know what works. If I had £1 for every time I was told “but I don’t eat very much!” I would be very rich. With my experience I can very quickly analyse why people are not losing weight & it is usually mis-information from all the advertising that we are bombarded with.
As many will have heard me say before, “specificity is the key, so declare why you want to lose weight, how much & what exercise & when you are going to do it.”
With all the fad ‘diets‘ around it is hard to know how to get the best results that are going to be long lasting. Here are some of the best tips.
Simple as it may seem the very best one is going public with your goals & doing it with a friend will increase your results.
Reduce the carbohydrates & increasing the lean protein in your diet, such as Body By Vi shakes for breakfast & lunch.
Protein in your diet gives a leaner body shape.
Some fat is essential in your diet.
Long term serious calorie reduction reduces your metabolic rate.
Calorie restriction 2 out of 7 days restriction aids weight loss, such as 3 Body By Vi shakes for just 2 days a week.
Drink water – so often we are thirsty, not hungry.
Never eat whilst watching TV or reading – be conscious of your eating.
Eat slowly, even swap hands or use chop sticks.
Reward yourself with something several times a day e.g reading a magazine for just 5 minutes when you feel like eating.
Always ask your self ‘Am I hungry, or do I just want to eat?”.
Mindset is crucial.” We only make a change in our lives if we have a good enough reason”. Write your reasons down.
Get a personal coach to address issues from the past that have caused you to put on weight. Hypnotherapy is a great approach, either individual or group sessions.
Exercising even for 10 minutes 5 times a week will boost your metabolic rate.
Getting a personal trainer, even for just one session will mean the exercise you do is done correctly & is specific for your needs.
You cannot target specific areas for weight loss, only to build muscle.
Fat cells are laid down at birth so stubborn areas that remain despite diet & exercise require other treatments. The non-invasive method is CoolSculpting which literally freezes the fat that is then naturally removed from the body.
And one last one “There is NO try, you either Do or you DO NOT!” I look forward to hearing about all your success & losses!
